The South Orange County Democratic Club (SOCDC) is the oldest of the Democratic clubs in south county.  We were founded in 1982 with the support of prominent Orange County landowner and Democratic activist, Richard "Dick" J. O'Neill, who registered voters, walked precincts, and raised money for Democrats. Dick served in several county and state Democratic Party elected positions. The former O'Neill family ranch includes what is today the O'Neill Regional Park, Caspers Wilderness, Camp Pendleton and much of Lake Forest, Mission Viejo and Ladera Ranch. 

 

Every December, SOCDC, with the Canyon Democrats of Mission Viejo, celebrate this legacy at the Richard J. O'Neill Holiday Brunch.
